Approving/Declining Employee Requests
The Requests section shows all pending employees requests to be approved or denied by an administrator or Line Manager.
Find your requests by going to Timesheets > Requests and navigate through Leave Requests, Timesheet Requests and Expense Requests.
Leave Request
Administrators & Line Managers can view employee leave requests on the TimeKeeper web portal and app.
Under Leave Requests, a list will appear with all open leave requests. You can view the information on each leave request, then approve or decline it, with the option to provide a reason for declining.
In the TimeKeeper app, pending requests can be found in the Services section. Tap on a request to view the details, then approve or decline it.
Line managers and administrators who have push notifications enabled in their profiles will receive both an email and a push notification in the app when a new leave request comes through.
Similarly, employees with push notifications enabled will receive both an email and a push notification in the app to inform them when their leave request has been approved or declined, and they can view its status in their app.
Please note, a Team Manager can also view, approve and decline requests for an employee on their teams, but Team Managers do not get the email notification. They need to manually go in and check if there are any requests pending.
You can set a limit for how much notice an employee must give for their leave request, by heading to More > Settings > Leave Settings > Leave request notice period
Timesheet Request
Administrators and line managers can review employee timesheet requests in both the TimeKeeper web portal and the app.
In the web portal, go to Timesheet Requests to see a list of all open requests. You can open each one to view the details, then approve or decline it, and add a reason if you’re declining.
In the app, pending requests are in the Services section. Tap a request to see the details and approve or decline it.
If line managers or admins have push notifications enabled, they’ll receive an email and an in‑app notification whenever a new request is submitted. Likewise, employees with notifications enabled get an email and push notification when their request is approved or declined and can see the status in their app.
Please note, a Team Manager can also view, approve and decline requests for an employee on their teams, but Team Managers do not get the email notification. They need to manually go in and check if there are any requests pending.
Allowance/Expenses Request
Administrators and line managers can review employee expense requests in both the TimeKeeper web portal and the app.
In the web portal, go to Expense Requests to see a list of all open requests. You can open each one to view the details, then approve or decline it, and add a reason if you’re declining.

If approved, that bonus will be shown in the allowances section of that employee’s timesheet report.
Please note, a Team Manager can also view, approve and decline requests for an employee on their teams, but Team Managers do not get the email notification. They need to manually go in and check if there are any requests pending.
